Dear Ravens,

This coming Saturday June 1st is unofficially declared St Jago awareness day.
June 1st, 271 years ago, the idea of a free school for selected slave children to be trained as book keepers and tallymen was born at a Tea Party for plantation owners islandwide at the Charlemont Estates Great House(former residence of Custos McGrath) near Ewarton.A year later in 1744, the dream became a reality on the grounds of Ravensworth.

All Jagoites worldwide are encouraged to wear something St Jago that day, call up an old Jago friend, email a few, post something St Jago on facebook etc. This is all in an effort to re-kindle our school pride and spirit as we prepare for our year long 270th anniversary celebrations in 2014.
