Alumnus Murrio Ducille Esq., (Class of 1967) has been appointed Justice to the Belize Court of Appeal.
Mr. Ducille is a distinguished criminal defense attorney who has placed an indelible mark on the practice of law. Prior to establishing his private practice in Nassau Bahamas, Ducille worked in many legal capacities such as Consultant for the United Nation Drug Control Program, Chief Magistrate of Antigua & Barbuda, Director of Public Prosecutor in Dominica, and Solicitor General of the Bahamas.
In addition, Ducille was Clerk of the Courts for the Parish of Portland, Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Director of Public Prosecutions (Jamaica), Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions (Jamaica), recipient of the UN/UNITAR International Law Fellowship to The Hague Academy of International Law (Holland), and subsequently attached to the United Nations Legal Office in New York. Contributing to the world of academia, he also served as a part-time Business Law Lecturer at The College of the Bahamas, and a member of the law faculty at The University of the West Indies.
Ducille received his Bachelor of Laws with Honors from The University of the West Indies, and Certificate of Legal Education from Normal Manley Law School.
